The mission of our program is to provide young men an opportunity to learn how politics impact our daily lives. From the very afternoon delegates arrive until the time they go home they will experience, first-hand, how Indiana’s government process works by actively participating in a simulated government setup. By the time they leave, they will know more about our state government than 90% of their fellow Hoosiers.
This is not your normal classroom study session. They will have an opportunity to run for offices of their choice from the local up to state level positions. To win an office delegates will have to interact with over 600 peers and earn their votes, compromise and negotiate to get bills passed, and follow laws and procedures set up by their own establishment. Just like in real life!
