John McKeeman served The American Legion, Department of Indiana as the Chairman for Hoosier Boys State’s Enrollment Committee for more than 20 years. In memory of Mr. McKeeman’s dedication to the program, members of the Allen County-Fort Wayne American Legion Post 499, of which Mr. McKeeman was a co-founder, donates an annual scholarship to a Hoosier Boys Stater.
Criteria
- 1. The recipient will be the elected Governor.
- 2. The entire payment is made upon written acceptance to a college, university, or place of higher education of the recipient’s choice.
Requests for receipt of the scholarship will be forfeited if not made within 18 months of the award.
